Deion Sanders unconcerned about recent playbook leak

While most teams use a playbook, Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders said in Tuesday’s press conference that Colorado does not have a “whole” one.
On Friday night before its game against No. 12 Texas Tech, Colorado’s playbook was found in the lobby of the Omni Hotel. The plays matched those executed on the field in the Buffaloes’ 29-7 loss.
During his weekly presser, “Coach Prime” was asked about the leaked playbook.
“I don’t think we have a whole playbook,” Sanders said. “They get a script.” Coach Prime was not happy with the question. Coach Prime dismissed the notion.
“We scored on the first drive, so I guess it didn’t work,” Sanders said.
Even though they scored on the first drive, the plays that leaked were the ones offensive coordinatorBrennan Marion called. Prime then went on to question whether, if he were on the opposing team, he would believe the playbook was fake. He told the reporter that if he were with Texas Tech, he wouldn’t know whether it was planted on purpose or real.
This isn't the first time a team's play script has raised questions. In 1999, Oklahoma's offensive coordinator, Mike Leach, planted a fake opening script for Texas to find before the Red River Rivalry. Unlike Oklahoma's intentional attempt to trick the Longhorns in 1999, Colorado's playbook found in the hotel lobby did not appear intentional. Sanders also claimed that situations like this happen at both the college and professional levels.
“That happens sometimes,” the fourth-year head coach said.
Despite the unusual circumstances, Sanders appeared unbothered, shifting the focus back to the team and its preparation for the upcoming game against Utah.
“One thing I can tell you, these guys haven’t let up,” he said. “ They still believe. They are still working their butts off.”
