At the 25th annual CU Sports Performers of the Year Awards ceremony, senior Colorado Buffaloes goalkeeper Jordan Nytes was named 2025 Female Athlete of the Year.

Nytes beat out Tilde Baangman (Nordic skiing), Sydney Givens (golf), Ema Bubalo (tennis) and Jade Masogayo (basketball) for the prestigious award.

Last season, Nytes claimed Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week five times and won Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Year for the second time in her career. Throughout the season, the shot-stopper had 11 clean sheets, which ranked seventh in the NCAA.

Nytes had a stretch throughout the season where she did not concede a goal for 583 minutes, equal to nine whole games. Nytes was the first Colorado keeper to reach All-American status after receiving third-team United Soccer Coaches All-American honors. The keeper had a .821 save percentage, which ranked second in the Big 12. Nytes made 101 total saves throughout the season.

In Colorado’s draw against the No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels, Nytes made a career-high 10 saves. Against the Georgia Bulldogs in round one of the 2024 DI Women's Soccer Championship, the keeper made seven saves to push the Buffs to their first tournament win since 2019.

Nytes’ standout season propelled the Buffs among the top-ranked schools for over half the season. The goalie started every game and finished with a 12-5-5 record.

Nytes and the Buffs begin their regular season at home against the Michigan State Spartans on Aug. 14.
