The Colorado Buffaloes (5-0) completely dominated the University of Pennsylvania Quakers (0-1) on Friday afternoon in a blazing spectacle.

The Buffs have been on a fiery winning streak these past few weeks, winning all three sets in each match and wiping out opponents in the Fresno State Bulldogs, Wyoming Cowgirls, Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Cleveland State Vikings.

Confidence levels were soaring as the Buffs entered the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. Inés Losada and Rian Finley showed up and showed out against the Quakers.

Losada, the Spanish pin attacker, had 10 total kills and two aces, both career highs, and eight digs recorded throughout the game. Finley also played a great game with three kills, three blocks, and six digs herself. In addition, she tallied 27 assists to her fellow teammates. But it wasn’t just these two Buffs who were on fire.

This is the first time in program history that the Buffs have won their first five matches and every set. The Buffs walked away from the Quakers with a lead in kills (39-29), blocks (12-2), assists (33-23) and service aces (4-0).

"I'm excited for another sweep,” head coach Jesse Mahoney said..

Confidence has fueled the Buffs' win streak, but Mahoney is proceeding with caution ahead of their next foe, the UC Irvine Anteaters.

We went five with them last year, they're really well coached. Good ball control team,” Mahoney said. “They've had a really nice start to their season, especially offensively. We'll watch them tonight live, a little film tomorrow, and we should be ready.”

Although coach Mahoney’s optimism is very welcome, the Buffs aren’t the only ones on a win streak lately. UC Irvine (3-1,0-0 Big West) has won their last two games, but has had nowhere near the same dominant winning streak that the Buffs have been pulling off.

Conference rival Arizona State Sun Devils and BYU Cougars lead the way within the Big 12 as the Buffaloes follow close behind, standing at third following their latest win against the Quakers.

Make sure to watch the Buffs’ next match on Saturday at 6 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
